Offline Scribe (Remote Virtual Scribe)
Job Role: Offline Scribe is a critical member of the patient care team. Offline Scribe will be primarily responsible for assisting healthcare service providers with accurate and efficient documentation of medical visits and procedures from the comfort of their homes. They use advanced HIPAA compliant platforms to complete documentation of patient visit summaries. Offline Scribe listens to recorded patient visits and is responsible for updating the patients’ medical record with the pertinent, well-written medical history, physical examination, assessment and plan, findings and procedures, within a clear time limit.
Position Requirements:
- Excellent listening skills and ability to understand diverse accents and dialects of physicians, their staff and patients.
- Excellent professional writing skills, including advanced proficiency in English grammar and spelling.
- Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with or the willingness and ability to learn medical terminology.
- Ability to speak, read and write the English language fluently.
- You must work in a secure and private location on a computer with a reliable high-speed internet connection.
- You must have a typing speed of at least 60 words per minute.
- MUST own all the necessary equipment: high-speed internet, updated computer, headphones etc.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Experience in Medical Scribing or Medical Transcription preferred
- Only candidates residing in US, residents or with valid work authorization, are eligible to apply
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records; Epic or Athena experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office 365 or other cloud-based productivity tools.
- Being tech savvy would be an added advantage. At least should be able to perform
